Though never having been in a hot air balloon, and highly doubting I'd have the guts to actually get in one.... there is something about them that is whimsical, adventurous, and fun. A few months ago I saw a hot air balloon stuffed toy in a child's bedroom that I fell in love with and had to have for my kids. I scoured the internet and was unable to find anything I liked that was affordable. So I made my own. A paper lantern from Walmart dressed up with twine, red card stock flags, a small tin, and two small friends from IKEA. It hangs in the playroom and I love it.
So when I stumbled upon Huckleberry Highways' new hot air balloon t-shirt. I thought why not? Perfect for spring and summer, easy to dress up or down, and for now at least, it lets me enjoy hot air balloons right were I am.... safely on the ground.
