Some Bunny Loves You Treat Bag
Turn a brown lunch sack into a bunny perfect for Easter. See tutorial here.

Easter Bunny Fruit Tray
Blueberries, pineapple, strawberries and kiwi shaped just so make the cutest edible bunny. Whiskers are pieces of string cheese.

Rabbit Egg Grabbers
.98 cents at Walmart will score you a pair of these bunny egg grabbers that make egg dying a little more fun and hopefully a little cleaner for mom.

Chocolate Bunnies
My kids informed me that one of the Easter Bunny's "Must Brings" is a chocolate rabbit so I snatched these up at Walmart for a dollar before they disappear.

Bunny Banner
This is from Target last year but you could easily cut these shapes or other bunny shapes and make a banner with small clothes pins and twine.

Bunny Bags
Target for the win on these. Bunnies are $3, carrots are $1 each.

Ears
An Easter must have for little ones and pictures on the big day. Bunny beanie from Target. Ears from the dollar store.

Paper Plates
These are a Walmart find but I have seen plates at Target, the Dollar Store, Smiths and nearly every grocery store around town. Act quick and they are $1.

Target Finds
Best place for Holiday decor is Targets Dollar Spot hands down because you can get something new for the season without breaking the bank. The bunny on the left is there this year. The bunny on the right was from years past. $3 bucks each.

More goodies at the target dollar spot, both the stickers and the spring garland!!

Golden Bunny Flats 30% off right now!! Momma and daughter LOVE them!

CINDERELLA EASTER BASKET

April 2, 2015

Young and old alike are in love with the new Cinderella movie. We fit into that group as well, and have seen the movie multiple times. The cast, the sets, costumes, story, music, it was all pure movie magic right down to the beautiful glass slippers. When we found a perfect pair online we thought why not make a Cinderella inspired Easter basket perfect for a girl or woman of any age. We even found a crown Easter basket!
Our basket included the crown basket that can be used for whatever you wish after Easter, the glass slipper, butterfly decals that can be used on walls, mirrors, notebooks etc, lip gloss, LILY white eyeshadow (perfect as Lily James plays Cinderella), blue nail polish, and a pumpkin card for you to write your favorite quote from the movie or whatever you wish. Candy of course finishes it off. We added Werther's Caramels as the gold wrapped treats reminded us of the pumpkin coach.

PRETTY PASTEL PEEPS PLEASE!

March 11, 2015

Ask anyone. They will all tell you the same thing. The party does not start until the chicks arrive, and well, they are all here and ready to party!!

Our cute little bunch of Easter ready, pretty pastel, sugar coated chicks have gathered to show you just how useful and tasty they can be this Spring. So listen up, take notes, and before long you too will be saying "more Peeps please!"

Simply buy 4 boxes of peeps and hot glue them together, and glue a piece of card stock or cardboard to the bottom.

Fill with plastic shopping bags if you want to take up space and then place a bit of grass and your treats on top. Attach a ribbon handle or wrap with ribbon for a final touch. Easy. Just the way we like it!

Assemble the army of peeps.

Use a small wooden dowl or shish kabob stick and slowly push it through each color of peeps. One stick per color. Stop pushing before the stick comes out the other end.  (You can divide them into single peeps and put multiple colors on one stick but it gets a little messy and does not look quite as clean.)

Once all of the peeps are on a stick. Revel in how pretty they look all together.

Decide how many you want in each bouquet and place them together, wrap them in clear wrapping, and attach at the bottom with a ribbon. Add a cheesy or non cheesy note if you wish!

1 1/2 Tablespoon of Butter
10 Chick Peeps
2 cups of Rice Krispies

**A few words to the wise on this one. First, do not mix colors. Does not turn out so well. Second, this recipe will make a small batch so you'll want to double it for an 8x8 pan or use a smaller pan and know they will be thin. Buy extra peeps. You will need them.

Melt the butter in a pan on low heat. Once melted add your peep and let them melt as well. Stir while melting the peeps.

Once melted remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispie cereal. Press mixture into your sprayed pan of choice and allow to cool.

Use Easter Egg like cookie cutters and make egg shaped krispie treats or...cut into traditional squares and enjoy!

EASTER BASKET STUFFING TIPS

March 5, 2015

After finding our favorite $5 easter basket stuffers and putting together Bro Baskets for our husbands, we were so excited to finally get to our children baskets. Easter Baskets for little ones that still believe in the magic of the Easter Bunny are fun to shop for and put together. While its not exactly rocket science to put together an Easter basket for your little ones we do have a few tips and ideas. Hopefully you find a few ideas that help make your Easter a little easier
  • Start now.  You will find better deals the earlier you shop and items won't be picked over.
  • Shop the dollar store and Targets Dollar section at the front of the store first. They have a wide variety of Easter themed items and regular items for only $1 each. Grass, baskets, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, stuffed animals, bunny ears, books, eggs, and more.
  • Shop online and get some good deals before the prices go up and take advantage of stores having Easter and Spring sales.
  • While shopping at regular stores you visit, take a minute to walk down the Holiday aisle or look around for items you could use for Easter. Set it aside for Easter.
  • What do your children NEED that could double as a basket stuffer? If you are going to buy them sandals, t shirts, shorts, or other needed items this year buy them now and use them as a basket stuffer. Takes up room in the basket, you were going to buy it anyway, and it's more exciting when it comes from the Easter Bunny.
  • No baskets? Look around the house and see what you can find. The basket that holds your magazines can be emptied for the day to be an Easter basket.
Happy Basket Stuffing!

Baby Basket
Binkis, soft shoes, baby book, stuffed bunny, Baby Bjorn Bib

Little Youngster Baskets
Board books with changing faces, stuffed animal, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, push cars, ball game.

If you have seen HOP you will think this chick turned bunny is adorable. If not, watch it. Your kids will love it maybe as much as we do!

EASTER "BRO BASKETS" FOR YOUR MAN

March 4, 2015

Hippity Hoppity don't forget your Honey! Husbands and/or boyfriends claim to not care about some of the Holidays like Easter but lets face it, everyone likes to be thought of, especially that grown up man who is still a little boy at heart. Check out our 3 favorite Man Baskets we put together to give you a few ideas and show a little love, some thought, and a bit of creativity this Easter!

the Sporty Hubby
No Basket on hand? Get him a new hat, or dig up one he already has. Baseball gloves, football helmets, or any other piece of sporting equipment works too. Fill with grass, his sport of choice eggs, and a few of his favorite treats!

the Hobby Hubby
Use a favorite hobby to give you ideas to stuff a basket. Both of our husbands like to boat in the summer so this basket is full of boating goods. Their favorite drink, sunscreen, spf chapstick, a new T-shirt, a muscle massager and muscle cream for sore muscles after a day on the lake and or course Easter treats. We turned the pop bottle into an Easter Bunny by bending some pipe cleaners and wrapping them around the top.

the Healthy Hubby
Have a Healthy Hubby on your hands who would not appreciate sweets from his sweety? Make a Healthy basket. A Fitness Magazine, Protein Bars, Ab Wheel, and Jump Rope make up this basket. Add a few treats for his sweet tooth or stick to Almonds and Trail Mix. You can always find good fitness deals at Ross or Walmart for much cheaper than other stores. The jump rope and ab wheel were at Ross for under $10.
