Whatever your plans may be this Valentines Day it is nice to show a little love here and there and what better way to do that than with sweets, treats, and baked goods? I am of the mindset that you can show some thought without breaking the bank or spending an insane amount of time either. Because time and money are a short commodity for everyone these days.
Take a look through our favorite Valentines we are loving and trying this year and maybe you'll find a few ideas you can use for your honey, the kiddos, or whomever you wish to be your lucky Valentine this year. . . Oh and of course a very
Mini Cakes
Any cake for that matter is a winner. We found a small cake pan at Walmart roughly half the size of a normal circle pan. It makes dessert plate size cakes. Stack them for a mini cake or leave them single. Decorate the top with sprinkles, conversation hearts or whatever you wish. We used a cookie cutter to give us the heart shape on this cake. So easy.
Classic Sugar Cookies
Have a fabulous recipe for sugar cookies? Use it... and please share! Don't have one up your sleeve? Easy Krusteaz sugar cookie mix has a recipe on the box for regular sugar cookies and for roll out cookies. Simply add a bit of extra flour and roll to your hearts content. Add your choice of frosting a sweet note and you are done!
Message In A Bottle
I found these jars at the local dollar store for you guessed it a buck. They had an awful red bow on them, a strange sticker on the front, and were full of fake rose petals. After being emptied and given a good scrub we filled the jars with candy of our choosing and attached a sweet note. A sweet or funny message placed inside of the candy gives your recipient and extra surprise.
Candy Candy Candy
Favorite Candy with a note or card attached. Chocolate Hershey Kisses are always a Valentine favorite as well. Purchase cellophane bags and make multiples. Save yourself some time in the kitchen... and no one knows if you sneak a few.

Socks
Valentine socks or regular socks tied up with a note that says.
"YOU KNOCK MY SOCKS OFF" or "LOVE YOU FROM THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR TOES."
We found these at Target for $1.00.
DIY Notes/Cards/Valentines
I'll admit that there are some darling, and some hilarious cards available for your Valentine but if you are so inclined, make your own. The message is the same. Kids love making their own Valentines for Grandma and Grandpa, each other, friends of for you. Let them. They'll have fun and it may give you a minute or two of a break.
Recipe cards folded in half and decorated with stickers.
Be My Valentine Envelope
We found this Valentine felt envelope at Target for $1. For a tween it makes the perfect Valentine. Fill it with candy, a handwritten card and some lipgloss and you have the perfect Valentine without spending too much cash. You can easily adjust this to whomever you are giving it to. For the hubby fill it with candy, his favorite drink or snack, a sports magazine, or just silly items from the dollar store.
